Boundary post, Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, cast iron, with a rectangular base, four upright sides tapering inwards and a shallow four-sided pyramid on top. Has the initials MS & LR on each of the four upright faces. Believed to have been installed at Ulceby, North Lincolnshire.

Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway notice regarding scrap rail. Black ink on blue paper, dated January 29th 1891; signed by A. Ross, engineer. Relates to the railway company receiving offers for the purchase of 2000 tons of old bull-headed scrap steel rails. The letter, dated 22/5/1957, explains how the item was left at the Euston exhibition by a visitor and that the donor details are not known.
